Both our Business Interiors showroom and our Healthcare Furniture showroom are at 11455 Folsom Boulevard in Rancho Cordova, and offer a distinct advantage to anyone considering a furniture purchase. The showrooms allow you to examine products, fabrics and finishes at arms length, not just as images in a catalog. Our 22,000 sf Business Interiors showroom is furnished with our products, lived in by our associates and put together by our installers, so we can confidently recommend solutions that we are intimately familiar with.
Western’s Healthcare showroom is full of furniture for hospitals, eldercare and waiting rooms — and at 6,000 sf with two patient room mockups, is the largest showroom of its kind on the West Coast. Both showrooms and their accompanying libraries may be visited by appointment only.

Since its establishment in 1959, Western Contract has been a well-respected source of business furnishings and services. Initially, Western Contract was part of a network of stores that originated in San Francisco and spread throughout California and Hawaii. In 1974, Don Turner became president of the Sacramento location, and in 1982, he became its sole owner. Under Turner’s sure-handed direction, Western Contract grew fast, establishing solid, long-term relationships with many vendors and corporate clients.
In 1985, the company moved to its current location in Rancho Cordova along the busy Highway 50 corridor. Thanks to its spacious 22,000-square-foot facility, Western Contract is able to feature more than 400 lines of quality furnishings at a variety of price points.
As an early pioneer of computer-aided drafting and design, Western Contract has repeatedly upheld its position as an industry innovator. From floor-to-ceiling design capabilities to an expanding universe of quality furnishings, we make sure our clients meet their design goals.
In June of 1991, Western Contract established an employee stock ownership plan (ESOP) as the company’s primary retirement plan for associates. A strategy was developed to fund the purchase of company stock by the ESOP from profits generated by the company. The associates at Western Contract reached their goal to be 100% employee-owned in April 1999.
Western Contract’s ESOP is very entrepreneurial. It calls for a combination of member ownership and member participation. Each vested member has a beneficial interest in the stock held by the ESOP, as well as input in the decision-making process. They also have the responsibility to make sure that their individual efforts are exceptional and business decisions are made wisely.
